1. A nice, powerful opening would be to show a little boy who reeeeaallly wants to go to school, but his mother won't let him until he sells his daily quota of fish. Shots of him carrying a basket with TONS of fish. He peers in the school's windows, desperately longing to be inside. He longs to obtain the only thing that can give him hope for a ticket out of poverty - education.
2. Comments by Mrs. Genie (Has a Masters in Filipino Education. Working on Doctrate.)
3. Music wise: Soft. Sympathectic. Simple. Solo piano. Solo guitar. Underlying strings.
4. For the opening, a fade in from black. Scene with little boy & fish before credits. Actual commentary/information during/after opening credits. Vox Populi Productions.
POINTS TO COVER:
1. Most people don't think that the lack of accessible education for the poor is an issue because they themselves don't like school.
2. Most think it would be wonderful to be able to not go to school
3. What they don't realize is that education is the only way that these people can improve their lives.
4. Education is a sought-after privelage to the poor; their one potential ticket out of poverty.
5. Unfortunately, even public education is costly for the poor
6. Something must be done.
